My name is Marcie Reckinger and I’ve been designing digital art since 2005. However, as long as I can remember, I’ve been intrigued by the art of collecting memories. As young as 2nd grade, I can recall collecting scraps of memorabilia. I believe my desire to preserve memories comes from a long line of other memory collectors in my family such as my great grandmother. As a child, I can remember being mesmerized by her tattered but well loved collection of scrapbooks.
In addition, to my love for designing and scrapbooking, I have a passion for people. I’m currently a full time social worker for a homeless shelter in North Texas. My social work job can be quite demanding but rewarding. It feels good to help families get back on their feet and find stable housing.
Last but not least, I’m a wife to Todd, and a mother to our four children. I feel very blessed to have a full life as a designer, memory collector, social worker, wife, and mother. I am excited to be a part of the My Memories community.
